About The Event
Many people suffer with jaw pain, whether it be from clenching, grinding or Tempomandibular joint disorders. A few minutes of neck work at the beginning or end of a massage isn’t enough to reduce or eliminate the pain and tension of these conditions. In this course you will review the structures impacted by these conditions. Through lecture, discussion, and hands on work you will learn a variety of modalities and treatments that will greatly reduce or eliminate the pain your TMJ clients live with. Finally, you will learn self care techniques, and how to teach them, that will help your clients manage their condition when they leave your office.
Tara received her massage certificate from the Stillpoint Program in 2004. She began her career at Multicare Physicians working with chiropractic patients dealing with injuries. She currently maintains a private practice at Optimum Health Therapeutic Massage as well as working on call at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Tara is trained in a variety of modalities and is a Reiki Master.
